Evan Dunham

Evan Dunham (born December 18, 1981) is an American mixed martial artist who currently fights for Ultimate Fighting Championship in their lightweight division. He fights out of Throwdown Training Center in Las Vegas. Evan was born to Bob and Delyn Dunham. He attended the University of Oregon, and worked in various jobs such as a cable installer, before becoming a fighter full-time. During this time, he had a tattoo inscribed on his ribs saying "ninety percent mental". In an amateur bout in 2006 (a year before Dunham's pro debut), Dunham fought UFC lightweight title contender Gray Maynard. Dunham lost the fight via unanimous decision. Dunham made his professional debut in 2007; he had five fights total in 2007. After winning six straight, Dunham was invited to fight for Palace Fighting Championship, a mid-size organization. Dunham won his fight over Dustin Akbari and remained undefeated. Dunham was recently awarded his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt. Dunham made his UFC debut on February 21, 2009 against Per Eklund at UFC 95. Dunham showed his aggressive style, knocking the more experienced Eklund out with a straight left at 2:14 of round 1.
