David Margulies

David Joseph Margulies (born February 19, 1937) is an American actor. Margulies was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Runya (née Zeltzer), a nurse and museum worker, and Harry David Margulies, a lawyer. Margulies graduated from City College of New York. Immediately afterward, he made his stage debut in the off-Broadway play Golden 6 (1958). His first Broadway appearance was in the 1973 revival of The Iceman Cometh. Margulies' film credits include I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can, The Front, All That Jazz, Dressed to Kill, 9½ Weeks, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Ishtar, Running on Empty, Ace Ventura, Pet Detective and A Stranger Among Us. Among Margulie's television credits are Kojak, Tales from the Darkside, Spenser: For Hire, The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, Chicago Hope, NYPD Blue, Northern Exposure, Touched by an Angel, four episodes of Law & Order, and eight episodes of The Sopranos.
