Life According to Muriel (1997)

Review

This Argentinian film feels an awful lot like a French melodrama, and that's not such a good thing.

The story tracks a mother and her daughter and their car, which rolls into a lake out in the boonies. So naturally, they stick around and help another woman and her kids fix up their hotel. Meanwhile, everyone pines for their lost loved ones. Feh.

Aka La Vida según Muriel.
